Pastoral Care
“It is effective in ensuring that all students know their performance in each subject and pastoral staff are able to make timely interventions to support academic outcomes."

Support for students
Our sixth form is fully inclusive and we recognise that students may require additional support. Our pastoral team are committed to ensuring that all students are provided with the support and guidance to ensure that they flourish, experiencing success and happiness in a safe environment.
We are very proud of the quality of our pastoral care in the Sixth Form. Each student is assigned a tutor who is a specialist KS5 practitioner – someone who understands the particular needs and stresses of a Sixth Former and with whom they must register every morning. There are currently eight tutor groups in the Sixth Form. For continuity, the form tutor may stay with their form throughout their time in Sixth Form. This ensures a consistency of pastoral support, provides tutees with specialist UCAS application guidance and assistance with future planning. Tutors are also the first point of contact for any other concerns. This means that each student in KS5 has a contact who knows them inside and out.
The tutors and the Sixth Form Team meet regularly to share any pastoral, student concerns and ensure all staff are up to date with Sixth Form activities.
Students have the opportunity if they wish to seek advice, information, guidance or support relating to their wellbeing, they can either speak to any member of the sixth form team or scan the QR code to request support.
